Merry Mini Therapy Horses is a 501c3 located in Hickory, NC offering animal-assisted therapy services. We have experienced firsthand the joy and sense of family and belonging spending time with them provides, and we’d love to share them with you!
Meet OUR Horses
Phoebe is our matron mini. She is a sweet 10 year old miniature Bay mare. She enjoys head scratches and hugs and loves her sweet peppermint treats!
Lilly is our 8 year old Chestnut White Paint beauty, she loves being petted all over but especially on her back. She also enjoys having her lustrous mane brushed.
April is our Black and White Paint baby girl. She’s three years old and a total sweet heart. She stands quietly next to you while getting petted and hugged.
About Merry mini
Merry Mini Therapy Horses is a 501c3 located in Hickory, NC. We offer animal assisted therapy services, providing an opportunity for people to experience a sense of well-being through human/horse interaction as a form of therapeutic intervention. Our farm consists of three mini horses, a pony, three Nigerian Dwarf goats, 12 chickens, three dogs, four cats, a red lored Amazon parrot named Willie, and us human caretakers.
We are passionate about our miniature horses. The relationship with our minis is uncomplicated and based on mutual kindness and a willingness to give and receive affection.
The simple act of sharing in their company brings us joy. Even on difficult days, our lives are calmer and happier because we our fortunate enough to experience their quiet companionship.
